Willow Framed Basket Workshop - Sunday 8th November 2026

10am - 4.30pm, November 8, 2026

Lechlade Memorial Hall Pavilion, Oak Street, Lechlade GL7 3AY

Join us for a lovely day at this traditional willow weaving workshop with Kelly and make a traditional and functional framed basket with a handle.

At this workshop, you will:
- will learn to use a basic weaving technique, learn more about other willow weaving techniques and vocabulary
- choose from a variety of different coloured willow to make your basket unique to you
- learn how to look after and care for your willow
The joy of this type of basket is the natural material used, if maintained properly it can be used for many years.

You will go home with your very own basket ideal for picking and displaying fruit, foraging, or general use.

This workshop is suitable for beginners. Willow weaving is rewarding but can be hard work on your fingers, so please bear this in mind when booking.

Cost: £85 to include tea, coffee and biscuits
Materials: there will be an extra charge of £10-£20 for materials on the day payable to the tutor.
Please bring: lunch and secateurs.
