At this workshop we have several different styles of bangles and bracelets to make including the new chain link braceklet. There will be samples available to help you decide and you pay on the day for only the materials you use.

You will learn how to saw, solder, file, hammer, hand-stamp and finish your own sterling silver jewellery.

With plenty of help and and guidance from tutor Fiona, you will also learn how to make your own bezel stone setting and leave at the end of the day with at least two bangles, a thin silver cuff, an adjustable bangle or a chain link bracelet. The choice is yours.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and ideal for those with some experience looking to expand on their knowledge and jewellery collection.

The minimum age for this workshop is 14 years, those 16 years and under must be accompanied by a participating adult who also has a place booked.

Cost: £95 – includes the use of tools, tea & coffee, and biscuits.
Materials: The cost of materials is not included in the workshop fees. The approximate cost is £35-£80 depending on what you use and is payable to the tutor on the day, cash or card accepted.

Please bring: lunch, make sure that long hair is tied back and bring glasses if you wear them.

Taught by Fiona Dowling, a graduate of the Royal College of Art. Jewellery Moves workshops aim to teach traditional craftsmanship, jewellery skills and techniques in small groups with a relaxed atmosphere.

NOTE: The Craft Barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails and may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
