Full Event Information

Join Sharon of Maybug Studio to create your own pyrography design on a beautiful wooden bowl.

Sharon is an accomplished Pyrogapher and is also known to Lechlade Craft Barn regulars for her popular stained glass workshops.

This pyrography workshop is a great next-steps workshop for those who have previously attended one of Sharon’s beginner's pyrography workshops.

Choose from a selection of bowls turned by Mr Maybug and decorate it with a pattern of your own design. New techniques will be introduced to make your design ‘pop’.

You'll be using a changeable wire tip pyrography pen that gives a finer, more detailed picture than the solid tip-style pen. All equipment is supplied for you to use on the day, however, if you want to practice with your own equipment please bring it along.

You will learn different techniques with different tips to give different effects, which woods to use (and more importantly which not to use), how to prepare the wood and finish once your design is completed.

A selection of designs will be available on the day for inspiration.

Each class will have a maximum of 6 participants which will give plenty of time for individual attention.

Cost: £65 to include all materials, tea & coffee. There will be an extra charge of between £15.00 to £25.00 for materials payable to the tutor in the day.
Bring: lunch and glasses if you wear them.

Customer cancellation deadline: 1st November

NOTE: The Craft Barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails and therefore not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
