Learn Indian Wooden Block Printing and Lampshade Making in one workshop! This workshop is perfect for beginners and those looking for a new project.

In this workshop, you will discover the ancient of block printing using hand-carved wooden blocks made in rural India by skilled artisans. Block printing can be used to create designs on bags, soft furnishing, clothing, lampshades, paper and more.

You will choose from a large selection of blocks and experiment with colour and design. You will learn how to use two colours and how to create repeat patterns on your sampler piece of fabric.

Once you are ready to move on, you will print a piece of fabric to make into your own unique lampshade using a design that requires no sewing!

Choose a 20cm drum or 30cm drum, both are suitable for a lamp base or ceiling light.

Please bring: lunch and an apron

NOTE: Please wear old clothing, we are using fabric paint that will mark your clothing.
