Learn Indian Wooden Block Printing and Lampshade Making in one workshop! This workshop is perfect for beginners and those looking for a new project.

In this workshop, you will discover the ancient of block printing using hand-carved wooden blocks made in rural India by skilled artisans. Block printing can be used to create designs on bags, soft furnishing, clothing, lampshades, paper and more.

You will choose from a large selection of blocks and experiment with colour and design. You will learn how to use two colours and how to create repeat patterns on your sampler piece of fabric.

Once you are ready to move on you will print a piece of fabric to make into your own unique lampshade using a design that requires no sewing!

There are several shapes and sizes of lampshades to choose from suitable for a lamp base or ceiling light. There may be a small additional fee to pay on the day if you choose a larger lampshade.

NOTE: Please wear old clothing, we are using fabric paint that will mark your clothing.

Please note: the Craft Barn is an old stone barn and is accessed via external stone steps with handrails and unfortunately may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
