Lighting is so important for creating a welcoming atmosphere, so what better than to make a beautiful lampshade for any room in your home that reflects your own tastes and creativity.

Come along and learn extra hints and tips for a lovely professional finish. This is a no-sew workshop and you'll be bringing your own choice of fabric to match the room you are making it for. Don't worry if you forget, or haven't got any, you are welcome to delve into our fabric stash.

Most lampshades can be used for a ceiling light, lamp base or floor light. See below for more details.

£35 - £40 per person includes tea & coffee, all lampshade making components except the outer fabric (small charge if using our fabric). Any fabric is suitable provided it is light to medium weight, avoid heavy textures, anything stretchy, velvets and heavy embroidery.

Lampshade sizes are subject to availability -
£35 sizes include:
- 15cm drum lampshade
- 20cm drum lampshade
- 20cm square lampshade
- 30cm drum

£40 sizes include:
- 40cm drum lampshade (for ceiling pendant, lamp base or floor lamp)
- 45cm drum lampshade (for ceiling pendant, lamp base or floor lamp)
- 35cm empire lampshade (for a lamp base or floor lamp)

There are samples made up so if you are uncertain of which size to make you can choose and upgrade if necessary at the workshop. Kits are available shou;ld you wish to make more at home.

NOTE: The Craft Barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails and may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
