Willow Framed Basket Workshop NEW! - Friday 30th June

10am - 4pm, June 30, 2023

Lechlade Memorial Hall Pavilion, Oak Street, Lechlade GL7 3AY

Join us for a lovely day at this traditional willow weaving workshop to make a traditional and functional framed basket with handle.

You will go home with your very own basket ideal for picking and displaying fruit, foraging or general use.

At this workshop you will:
- will learn to use a basic weaving technique, learn more about other willow weaving techniques and vocabulary
- choose from a variety of different coloured willow to make your basket unique to you
- learn how to look after and care for your willow
The joy of this type of basket is the natural material used, if maintained properly it can be used for many years.

Cost: £85 to include tea & coffee
Materials: there will be an extra charge payable to the tutor on the day for the willow between £10-20.

Bring: lunch and secateurs.
