If you are new to Indian Wooden Block Printing or wanting a refresher then this workshop is perfect for you.

During this workshop you will discover the ancient art of block printing using hand carved wooden blocks made in rural India by skilled artisans. Block printing is the earliest of all methods of textile printing and is still widely used today to create designs on bags, soft furnishing, clothing, lampshades, paper and more.

At this workshop you will choose from a large selection of blocks and experiment with colour and design. You will learn how to use two colours and how to create repeat patterns on your sampler piece of fabric.

Once you are ready to move on you will print your own pre-made cushion cover in the colours & designs of your choice.

Cost: £45 - includes all materials, tea & coffee

- Cushion cover and inner
Please bring an apron

NOTE: Please wear old clothing and bring an apron - fabric paint will mark your clothing.

Please note: the Craft Barn is an old stone barn and is accessed via external stone steps with handrails but unfortunately is not suitable for those with mobility issues. The toilet is located in another building.
