Set of 3 Pamphlet Booklets Workshop - 14th September

New tutor Maggie will talk about the types of books, stitching, papers, covers and tool kits used for book-binding. She will guide you through the steps to make your own set of 3 pamphlet booklets.

Each pamphlet is hand-stitched with a choice of paper inserts (signatures) and covers.

Inserts (Signatures) can be chosen from:
- Bullet dotted paper
- Plain paper

Covers can be chosen from:
- Marbled papers
- Hand-painted papers
- Hand-made paper
- Printed Floral Paper
- OS map or map paper

You will learn to make up a signature - the paper insert and learn pamphlet stitch, a simple version of long-stitch to hold your booklets together.

There is the option to make a belly-band to keep the 3 journals together and
an ephemeral gift tag.

Cost £30 to include all materials, tea and coffee.

Event runs from 10am - 12pm.

NOTE: the craft barn is accessed via external stone steps and therefore may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There are handrails on either side. The toilet is located in the main house.
