Traditional Hand Stitched Teddy Bear Workshop NEW! - Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th July

What’s better than a teddy bear? Well, one you have made yourself!

Join us in the Craft Barn for our 2 day workshop and go home with your very own handmade teddy bear. He will be a traditional jointed bear who will be adorable and loved for generations.

Tutor Sharon of Maybug Studio will guide you every step of the way to learn traditional teddy making skills. You do not need to have any previous bear making skills but please note that the bear is hand sewn, so basic sewing skills are needed.

Using Mohair, the traditional and best material for teddy bears and glass eyes, your finished bear will be 30 cm tall. He will have articulated legs, arms and head using cotter pins and weighted with either plastic pellets or steel shot.

Cost: £130 to include tea & coffee and use of tools. There will be a materials cost of approx. £40 payable at the workshop to the tutor.

Please bring: lunch, glasses if you wear them and a basic sewing kit to include threads, scissors, needles and a thimble.

Time: 10am – 4pm on both days however you are welcome to leave early on the second day if you have finished.
