Have you ever wanted to learn to paint and not known where to start. Maybe you’ve had a little go before and couldn’t grasp it. If you’ve ever wanted to learn a new skill, to paint as a way of relaxing and create beautiful designs, it’s never too late to learn.

With plenty of help you will be guided through how to paint using the comma stroke using a round brush, a liner brush along with tipping the brush; a great technique used to create a highlight and a shade in one easy stroke.

Once you have mastered a basic Folk Art ‘comma’, this stroke can be enlarged and used as petals, leaves and hearts, the basis of Folk Art design. Designs for inspiration will be available, so will tracing materials and stencils should you need them. When you are ready put your techniques together to create beautiful designs on greeting cards.

Cost: £35 to include all materials, tea & coffee, biscuits.

Note: as the Craft barn is in an old stone barn accessed via external stone steps with handrails it may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
